CHICAGO, June 18, 2012 - Chicago Sky guard Epiphanny Prince will be sidelined approximately six to eight weeks due to a Jones fracture in her right foot, the team announced today.

The injury occurred during the first quarter of the Sky's game against the Indiana Fever in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 16. Prince came out of the game with 1:45 remaining in the period and did not return.

"We look forward to Piph making a full recovery," Sky Head Coach and General Manager Pokey Chatman said. "She has had such a great start to the season; the injury is obviously very disappointing for her and for us. In the meantime, we have a resilient veteran team that will keep us moving forward until we're back at full strength."

Prince, who led the WNBA in scoring prior to the matchup with Indiana and won two consecutive Player of the Week awards based on her stellar play, averaged 22.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists through nine games for the Sky this season. The fourth overall pick in the 2010 WNBA Draft, Prince was named to her first All-Star game last season.

Chicago (7-2) travels to Minnesota on Saturday to take on the Lynx (10-1). The nationally-televised game on ESPN is scheduled for an 11:30 a.m. CT tip-off.
