American Defenders of New Hampshire News Release

(Nashua, NH, June 22) - The Nashua Pride has announced that they have released right handed pitcher, Josh Thigpen. This spring for the Pride, the resident of Killen, AL was 0-1 with an 8.41 ERA. In five games, all as a starter, he saw 20.1 innings of work, allowing 18 hits, and striking out 14.

VP of Baseball Operations Chris Hall said that Thigpen will stay in the area, looking to catch on as a hitter.

To compensate for the move, Nashua added Giorgio Fuda to the pitching staff. A recent graduate of SUNY-Albany, Fuda brings a strong left arm to the bullpen. At Albany this spring, he posted a 3-4 mark. In 20 games and 23 IP, he struckout 28, and walked 17. In his junior year, he fanned 9.5 batters per 9 innings pitched. That year he also tied for the team lead with 20 appearances and led the Great Danes with a 4-0 record.

Fuda majored in psychology and was a member of the National Honor Sociey in high school.
