Starting pitcher Rolando Viera allowed just five hits over nine innings as he shutout North Shore and helped Brockton to a 1-0 victory. Viera recorded 12 strikeouts and only one walk on the way to his second win of the year. C Mike Torres went 1-for-3 and drove in the lone Brockton run to lead the Rox at the plate. Despite picking up the loss, North Shore starting pitcher Joey Siak pitched eight strong innings, allowing just one run on four hits.

SS James Lofton, 2B Tom Crieghton and C Tommy Rojas combined for eight hits, three homeruns and eight RBI to lead Nashua past Sussex 9-3. Starting pitcher Raul Valdes picked up the win for the Pride, allowing just three runs in eight innings of work. Valdes struck out six and improved to 2-1 on the season. RF Josh Ury went 2-for-5 and drove in all three of Sussex's runs to lead the Skyhawks at the plate in the losing effort.

New Jersey 8, New Haven County 7

After surrendering a seven run lead, New Jersey got a game winning pinch hit single from DH John Lindsey in the bottom of the ninth inning to knock off New Haven County 8-7. 1B Bill Peavey went 2-for-4 with two RBI to lead the Jackals at the plate. Relief pitcher Josh Schwartz pitched four scoreless innings to pick up the win and improve to 2-1 on the season. LF Horace Lawrence went 2-for-4 with a homerun and three RBI to lead New Haven County offensively.
