Pride Downed by Quebec; 8-2

(Nashua, NH) The Nashua Pride were downed by the Quebec Capitales, 8-2, at Stade Municipal on Saturday night.

Capitales' designated hitter Pat Scalabrini hit two home runs in the game and recorded four RBI to lead the way for the home team, finishing the night 2-for-4. Right fielder Mike Goss added a pinch hit home run and went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Quebec's starting pitcher Orlando Trias (9-6) earned the victory, going six and one-third innings, giving up two runs, on nine hits, two walks and one strike out. Relievers Felix Arellan and Ivan Blanco went the rest of the way, Arellan pitching one and two-thirds innings and Blanco one inning of scoreless work.

Pride starter John Tesseyman (0-2) suffered the loss, lasting five innings, giving up seven runs, on nine hits, four walks and two strike outs. Lance Stevens pitched three scoreless innings to finish the game foe the Pride.

Pride right fielder Dorian Rojas went 1-for-2 with a double and a RBI, while teammate Sandy Almonte ended his night with a RBI.

The Pride and Capitales will meet again on Sunday, at 7:05pm, when Nashua sends Jarrett Stawarz (3-3) to the mound against Quebec's T.J. Stanton (5-4).
