(Nashua, NH) - The Nashua Pride announced today that the team has agreed to terms with former major league All-Star Henry Rodriguez, a veteran of eleven seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Montreal Expos, Chicago Cubs, Florida Marlins and New York Yankees.

Rodriguez burst onto the major league scene as a relative unknown with the Expos in 1996, hitting .276 with 36 homeruns and 103 RBI to earn a spot on the National League All-Star team. He averaged 28 homeruns and 84 RBI per year for the Expos and Cubs from 1996 through 2000.

The 36-year-old Dominican Republic native last played in the major leagues in 2002, appearing in twenty games for Montreal. He is expected to join the team during its upcoming series against the Long Island Ducks.

The Pride continue a six-game homestand tonight at Historic Holman Stadium, sending Juan Pena to the hill against Kyle Goldwater and the Atlantic City Surf. Game time is 6:35 PM. Great seats are still available. For more information, call the Pride ticket office at 883-2255, log on to nashuapride.com or visit the Holman Stadium Box Office at 67 Amherst St. in Nashua.
