Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC News Release
PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (2-1-5) will return home to battle the Charlotte Independence (1-6-4) at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Highmark Stadium.
Pittsburgh is two wins from its 200th all-time victory in franchise history, including league, postseason and Open Cup competition.
This will be the Hounds' first league match since their 2-2 May 4 draw at the Charleston Battery. Since then, the Black and Gold defeated the Dayton Dutch Lions in the Open Cup, in addition to having their match against Memphis 901 FC postponed due to inclement weather.
The Black and Gold carry a seven-game unbeaten streak in league games into Saturday, while Charlotte most recently tied Nashville SC (a 1-1 result).
This match will mark a Memorial Day weekend bash at Highmark Stadium. Fans can enjoy a Moe's tailgate prior to the match, in addition to a live DJ and barbecue. Tickets can be purchased at ticketmaster.com.
