PREVIEW: Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC at FC Cincinnati Hounds hit the road in the midst of a four-game unbeaten streak

PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (2-0-2) hits the road for the second time this season, riding a four-game unbeaten streak into Nippert Stadium to face FC Cincinnati (2-1-1) at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 21.

GAME NOTES

The match pits two top-eight squads against each other, as the Hounds currently sit fifth in the Eastern Conference to Cincinnati's seventh. In the midst of the club's best start to the season the in the modern era of the USL (since 2011), Pittsburgh seeks its first ever win against the hosts in five tries (0-3-2) - each match has been decided by a goal or less.

The Hounds have been stout on the defensive end to start the season, currently standing as the only club yet to concede a goal in the USL. In addition, the four clean sheet efforts rank tied with only Orange County SC for best in the league and the defensive play as a whole has been so stout that keepers Dan Lynd and Kyle Morton have only had to make four combined saves so far this year.

For Cincinnati, its offensive attack has yet to get firing, totaling only three goals - the lowest of any club in playoff standing in the East. The Hounds should expect their toughest test to date though this season, as Cincinnati has only lost five times at home in league play since entering the league in 2016.

Fans hoping to catch the action can watch live locally on Pittsburgh's CW or stream the match on ESPN+, as well as follow along with up-to-the-minute stats on USL Match Center . In addition, the Hounds will be hosting a Watch Party at Smokin' Joe's Saloon in South Side for fans of age with drink and food specials including a free round of Hounds Ale after every Hounds goal and 45-cent wings. Festivities kick off at 5 p.m.
