Preview: Orlando Pride Travels to Houston for Sunday Match

ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando Pride (0-3-1, 1 point) heads back on the road to face the Houston Dash (1-1-1, 4 points) on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. ET at BBVA Compass Stadium.

The match will be nationally streamed on Yahoo Sports! and in the NWSL app. International fans can tune in on NWSLsoccer.com.

"You have a choice in how you react to things and the choice of this group is to know that they are learning; that they are trying to get better everyday...The mood is fine, the mood is happy, the only thing that's negative at the minute is the results," Orlando Pride Marc Skinner said. "[The players] know the messages, they know what we are asking them to do. It's just then taking that belief onto the field. Because, when we're in training, they're performing what we need them to do. It's just the transference of that skill onto the field."

The Pride will look to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat last week against Utah. Christen Press scored the eventual game-winner for the Royals in the 19th minute. The match marked the first time the Royals have defeated the Pride in Club history.

Haley Kopmeyer made her season debut on the evening, registering four saves in the match. Despite missing the match, goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris remains atop the league with 17 saves this season. Harris, as well as U.S. Women's National Team teammates Alex Morgan and Ali Krieger, will be unavailable for Sunday's match as the trio joins the U.S. WNT for 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup preparations.

Houston enters Sunday following a 4-1 loss to the North Carolina Courage in its last outing. The Courage scored the first four goals of the match in the 45+1', 60th, 69th and 76th minutes respectively. Rachel Daly managed to salvage one back for the home side in the 86th.

Daly is now tied for the team lead in goals for the Dash with Sofia Huerta and Nichelle Prince with one apiece. Goalkeeper Jane Campbell is tied for third in NWSL with 11 saves in 2019.

Sunday's match will mark the first of three between the two sides in 2019. The Pride visit Houston once again on June 15 and play host to the Dash on August 10 at Orlando City Stadium. Historically, results in matches between the two sides have been split, with the Pride holding a slight edge with a 5-4-0 all-time record against the Dash.
