Preview: Fighters vs. San Antonio Gunslingers

Frisco, TX - Continuing to dominate the eastern conference, The Fighters come off a road win against division rival the Tulsa Oilers and move to the number one spot in the east. The Fighters face off against the San Antonio Gunslingers in week seven for the first time in IFL history.

The Fighters are led by head coach Andre Coles who looks to make a championship run in his first season as a head coach.

PAST MEETUPS - FIGHTERS V GUNSLINGERS

This will be the first time the Fighters and Gunslingers face off in IFL history. The Gunslingers are 1-3 on the year and are most known for there explosive offense having the top scoring offense and passing in the league.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

A player to watch this week and most weeks is Indoor Footballs Most Valuable Player TJ Edwards. Edwards continues to show why he was the 2023 Indoor Football League MVP by dominating on the ground and the air, rushing for 60 yards and passing for 153 yards with 7 total touchdowns.

Another player to watch this week is Wide Receiver Cole Blackman. Blackman has been a top target this year having 13 receptions, 93 yards for 5 touchdowns. Last game Blackman played a huge part in the win finding his way in the end zone three times. He looks to continue production this week against a poor passing defense.

Lastly, another player to watch is Defensive Back, Jeff Ejekam. Ejekam has played a key role on our defense and has been a great early season add. He looks to put up numbers against his former team this week as the Gunslingers rank number one in the league for passing and scoring.
