In 140 Characters or Less: Kyle Simon makes his return as the Bee Battle the Bluefish in Bridgeport! First pitch at 6:12 PM as the Bees look to keep pace in the Liberty Division race!

Series: New Britain and Bridgeport split a double header yesterday, so the series is even at 1 game apiece. Shawn Haviland spun a complete game and Jon Jones hit a two-run shot in route to a 7-1 victory in game 1, but the Bees fell 5-4 in the second game.

The Bees: Kyle Simon makes his return to the mound after being out with an injury since May 14th. The 6'6" right hander pitched well in his first 3 starts for the Bees, and will slot into Josh Zeid's rotation spot. Meanwhile, Craig Maddox continues to feast on Bluefish pitching, adding three more hits in six at bats to bring his season total to 13-26 against Bridgeport.

The Opposition: Bridgeport got the win last night and turn to Jimmy Patterson for tonight's game. Patterson has pitched against the Bees, going 5.2 innings and allowing 1 run back on May 15th, but did not earn a decision. Jose Cuevas has had a very strong series on the offensive side of the ball, going 3-4 in game two of the twin bill with a double and a pair of RBIs.
