In 140 Characters or Less: The Bees open a four-game series on the road with a doubleheader tonight vs. the in-state rival Bridgeport Bluefish! Game 1 first pitch set for 5:12!
Series: The Bees so far have the edge in the season series with Bridgeport, winning four of the six games they have played so far. The last time the two teams played came in mid-May with the Bees sweeping the three-game series in New Britain.

The Bees: New Britain enters tonight's intra-state matchup with a 23-22 record, sitting just two games in back of the Somerset Patriots for first in the Liberty Division. In the past six series the Bees have played, they have won four of them and split the other two.
The Opposition: Bridgeport's season has not gone as planned thus far with the team posting a 17-29 record. Despite taking two of three in their last series vs. Lancaster, the Bluefish still sit 8.5 games of Somerset in the Liberty Division.

Key to the Game- Shawn Haviland's innings: The Bees tonight will be playing their sixth doubleheader of the season already and are coming off a series in which they used the majority of their relievers (several for multiple innings). With reliever Craig Stem getting the spot start in game two of the doubleheader, the Bees will need Shawn Haviland to pitch deep into the first game to give the Bees enough fresh arms for the second game.
