
Preston Mizzi Released From PTO

BRIDGEPORT, CT â The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced the release of Center Preston Mizzi from a professional tryout contract. Mizzi signed a PTO Thursday and appeared in two games this past weekend. He has one assist and two penalty minutes in four AHL games during three stints with the Sound Tigers this season. Mizzi has returned to the ECHL's Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies.
The Sound Tigers will return from the AHL's All-Star Break to host the Springfield Falcons tomorrow at 7:05 p.m. They will also visit Springfield this Saturday at 7:35 p.m. and host the Hershey Bears this Sunday at 4:05 p.m. All three of this week's games will be web cast live at www.soundtigers.com. Sunday's game will also be broadcast live on 600 WICC-AM pending the completion of University of Connecticut basketball.
Sound Tigers individual-game tickets are on sale at the Harbor Yard box office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and on all game days, as well as on-line at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling Ticketmaster at 203-368-1000.
