
Pirates Partner with YWCA to Raise Funds

PORTLAND, ME â The Portland Pirates are teaming up with the YWCA to raise money for the organization. The YWCA will hold a membership day on Sunday, March 14th when the Pirates host the Philadelphia Phantoms at 4:05 p.m. YWCA members will be able to purchase tickets in either the Main or Quarter Decks for just $8 with $3 of each ticket sold through the YWCA donated back to the organization.
"The YWCA has a long history of service to the greater Portland community," said Brian Petrovek, Pirates' Managing Owner/CEO. "We're pleased that we can provide the YWCA with a great day of family entertainment for its membership and help them raise money for their programs and facility in the process."
YWCA members may purchase an unlimited number of tickets at the discounted price at the Cumberland County Civic Center box office by showing their YWCA member cards beginning today. Tickets may also be purchased at the YWCA on Saturday, March 6th during the YWCA's âSwim-O-Rama' from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. The YWCA will also take part in the ceremonial puck drop prior to the game and will have a table in the lobby with more information about the organization.
The Pirates' next home game is Monday, February 16th when they host the Lowell Lock Monsters at 7:05 p.m. It's the first of three home games for the Pirates that week. They'll host the Springfield Falcons on Friday, February 20th at 7:05 p.m. It's a Margaritas Frozen Friday. Fans can get two tickets for the price of one when they dine at Margaritas on Friday and receive a buy-one-get-one-free handbill with their dinner check. It's also WFNX Night with the Pirates. On Saturday, February 21st, the Pirates host the Manchester Monarchs at 7:05 p.m. The first 1,200 fans receive a Crackers Bobblehead doll courtesy of Hannaford Supermarkets.
