GAME NOTES
2013 OHL CUP
The OHL Cup provides fans and scouts one last opportunity to see many of the top minor-midget aged players from across Ontario and parts of the United States compete prior to the 2013 OHL Priority Selection. The top scorers from last year's tournament are already well known in the OHL this year. Connor Mcdavid, Michael Dal Colle, Jared McCann, Sam Bennett and the 67's own Dante Salituro are all making an impact in their respective rookie seasons.
Moving North
This will be the Brampton Battalion's last visit to Ottawa as a franchise. The Brampton Battalion will be moving to North Bay at the end of the season. The unnamed North Bay team's inaugural season will be 2013-2014. North Bay had an OHL team, the Centennials, until 2002 when they moved to Saginaw to become the Spirit.
Answering the Call
One of the best parts of junior hockey is watching players move up the ranks. Former 67's superstars Petr Mrazek and Tyler Toffoli both made the AHL All-Star game this year, helping them earn call ups to the NHL. Both players were key pieces in the 67's run to the Eastern Conference final last year. Mrazek has two NHL starts under his belt for the Red Wings, while Toffoli is eagerly awaiting his NHL debut after being called up by the LA Kings.
