The Bloomington PrairieThunder (6-2-0) begin a three-game home stand this Wednesday night (November 17th) when the Arizona Sundogs make their first appearance in the Twin Cities. Wednesday's game begins a busy stretch for the PrairieThunder as the team will play seven games, including four home games, in a twelve day time span through the Thanksgiving weekend. Last week, the PThunder played one lone game, an exciting 3-2 shootout victory in Wichita against the "other" CHL Thunder. Bloomington, with only eight games played to date, has played the fewest games in the Central Hockey League.

It's the first ever meeting between the PrairieThunder and the Sundogs. Bloomington starts the week with a record of 6-2-0 good for 12 points in the CHL's Turner (Northern) Conference. The Prescott Valley based Arizona Sundogs are 2-7-2. This will be Arizona's eighth road game this season with two more to follow on this current road trip for them. The Sundogs are led by Jason Williams with 6 goals and 3 assists for 9 points. Williams, from Plattsburgh, New York, is in his first professional year following four college seasons at Colgate University.

The second meeting of the year against the Mallards. Quad City won the first game in Moline, Illinois back on November 6th by a 3-1 margin. The Mallards leading scorer is Zac Pearson (7 goals & 4 assists for 11 points). Pearson played in 76 games last year for Bloomington where he scored 19 goals. Quad City begins the week 5-5-0 in the Turner Conference.

It's the first of eight Sunday afternoon home games with our special, family friendly, 3:05pm game time this season. The Sundogs finish up their three game road trip which includes a visit to Fort Wayne on Friday (11/19). Arizona begins the week leading the CHL in minor penalties with 106.
PrairieThunder Notes
Goaltender Marco Emond (5-1, 1.95 goals against average, 93.6% save percentage) should be back in the line-up at some point this week after taking a puck to the throat during last Saturday's game in Wichita. Rookie goaltender Brad Phillips replaced Emond and got the victory....Original PrairieThunder forward Jon Booras, in his fifth season in Bloomington, may be activated at some point this week. Booras has been on injured reserve since the start of the regular season. In 287 games for the PThunder, John has scored 108 goals and added 169 assists for 277 points in 287 games....Former PrairieThunder staffers Jerry McBurney and Bryan Bloodworth will drop the ceremonial first puck prior to Wednesday night's game vs. Arizona. Jerry McBurney is the Sundogs President and former General Manager of both the PrairieThunder and Indoor Football Bloomington Extreme. Bryan Bloodworth is Arizona's Vice President of Business Operations and was the Assistant General Manager & Director of Media Relations for both the PrairieThunder & Extreme.
PrairieThunder in the Community
It is a busy week all around for the organization. This Thursday (11/18) from 4pm to 7pm, join Head Coach Jason Christie as he is a "Celebrity Bartender" at Station 220 in downtown Bloomington. Proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of McLean County.....Also on Thursday from 6pm to 7pm, PrairieThunder players are participating in the Fairview Elementary Family Reading Night....On Friday night (11/19), Head Coach Jason Christie will be inducted into the Peoria Hockey Hall of Fame as part of the Peoria Rivermen's home game against Abbotsford at 7:05pm at the Peoria Civic Center.

Tickets are on sale at the Coliseum Box Office Monday through Friday from 11am to 5:30pm and on weekends when there are events in the Coliseum.
