BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Brian Bicek's goal with 12:13 remaining in the third period lifted the Muskegon Lumberjacks to a 2-1 victory over the Bloomington PrairieThunder at U.S. Cellular Coliseum before 2,218 people Saturday night in International Hockey League action.
The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for the PrairieThunder and dropped its record to 12-8-1-2 (27 points) ahead of Sunday's 4:05 p.m. home game against Fort Wayne.
Bloomington's Billy Bagron broke up the scoreless game with 15:08 remaining in the second period on a power play goal with assists to Jason Lepine and Jon Booras.
The Lumberjacks tied the game at the 10:27 mark of the second period on a Billy Collins' power play goal. The assists were by Robin Big Snake and Robin Bouchard.
Bloomington outshot the Lumberjacks, 31-22, with Andrew Martin suffering the loss in net for Bloomington. Sebastien Centomo was the winning goalie. Both teams were 1 for 5 on the power play.
