(Lexington, KY- April 3, 2014)- The West Virginia Power's Opening Day game against the Lexington Legends was suspended after two innings on Thursday evening. The Legends will have a 2-1 advantage as play resumes at 5:05 pm on Friday, April 4.

The Power took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning against Lexington starter Jake Junis. Harold Ramirez reached on an error and scored on a double by JaCoby Jones. In the bottom of the second, the Legends tagged Power starter Shane Carle for four straight hits, including a two-run home run by Fred Ford with a runner on.

The game was halted due to rain between the bottom of the second and top of the third. Play will continue Friday in the top of the third inning and the game will be played to a nine-inning conclusion. After a short break, the Power and Legends will play a seven inning contest as the regularly scheduled game.
