
Potter Recalled to Rangers

New York, February 5, 2009 -- New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that defenseman Corey Potter has been recalled from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Potter, 25, has registered four goals and 15 assists for 19 points, along with 60 penalty minutes in 41 games with Hartford this season. He currently ranks second on the team among defensemen in points (19) and assists (15), and is tied for second among Wolf Pack blue liners in goals (four). The Lansing, Michigan native has recorded five multiple-point games this season, including two multiple-assist efforts. The 6-3, 200-pounder has registered one assist in two games with the Rangers this season. He recorded his first NHL point with an assist on December 27 vs. New Jersey, and made his NHL debut on December 7 vs. Calgary.
From today's practice, Henrik Lundqvist, Paul Mara and Dmitri Kalinin did not skate. The Blueshirts return to action tomorrow, February 6, when they will face off against the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center (8:30 PM). The Rangers won their last meeting in Dallas, 5-2, on December 14, 2006.
