Houston Aeros sign forward Jimmy Kilpatrick to PTO

HOUSTON, Texas - Houston Aeros General Manager Tom Lynn today announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed forward Jimmy Kilpatrick to a Professional Try-out (PTO) agreement.

Kilpatrick, 24 (1/27/85), is in his first professional season having played for the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL. In 41 games this season, the New Prague, Minnesota native has collected 45 points and leads the Cyclones with 22 goals in 41 games played. He was selected as the In Glas Co ECHL player of the week last week after scoring four goals and four assists in three games.

The 5-foot-11, 185 pound forward played four years and majored in Economics at Colorado College (2004-08). He led the Tigers in scoring as a junior with 32 points (7-25=32) and finished third on the team in scoring with 31 points (15-16=31) as a senior.

The Aeros will play their second of a six-game road trip Friday, February 6 at 7:05 p.m. in Des Moines when they take on the Iowa Chops. Houston (22-20-1-7) currently sits in fifth place in the West Division with 52 points, but the team is just one point behind Iowa and Chicago for third-place.
