Sioux Falls Skyforce News Release

Sioux Falls, SD - The NBA G League announced today that Skyforce center Micah Potter was named to the G League All-Rookie Team, becoming the eighth player in franchise history to earn such honor.

It also marks the first time since 2018-19 that Sioux Falls has had a player named to the All-Rookie Team (Duncan Robinson and Yante Maten).

Potter, a 6-10, 248-pound center went undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft out of Wisconsin. He joined the Miami HEAT in the summer of 2021, where he played in four games (two starts), averaging 6.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per 14.2 minutes a game.

He then joined the HEAT for training camp and preseason, where he played in three games for Miami, averaging 10.3 points, 11.3 rebounds and 1.0 assist per 24.0 minutes a game.

Potter joined the Skyforce as an affiliate player and averaged 17.2 points on 53.4 percent shooting, 9.9 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 33 starts. He posted 15 double doubles this season, which was a team high, and scored 20-plus points in nine of his last 13 games.

His steady play to end the Showcase Cup earned him the organization's third NBA Call-Up of the season with the Detroit Pistons on Dec. 29, 2021, where he appeared in three games, averaging 4.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in 10.3 minutes per game.

Potter joins South Bay guard Mac McClung, Motor City Cruise forward Luka Garza, Texas Legends guard Carlik Jones and Delaware Blue Coats center Charles Bassey on the NBA G League All-Rookie Team.
