
Potomac Nationals Infielder Named Player of the Week

Potomac Nationals third baseman Kory Casto was named the Carolina League player of the week for the week ending July 24. It is the third time this season Casto has been named Player of the Week.
Casto blasted six home runs in seven games and knocked in 11 RBI. Casto ended the week with a .444 average, a .531 on base percentage and a 1.111 slugging percentage. Casto is second in the league hits (109), in RBI (70), runs scored (64) and extra base hits (48). He is tied for third in the lead in home runs (19) with Winston-Salem's Noah Hall.
Kinston Indians RHP Tom Mastny was named the Carolina League Pitcher of the Week. Mastny went 2-0 last week improving his season record to 5-2. In 10.1 innings of work he allowed only one run on seven hits and struck out 16 to earn a 0.87 ERA. Mastny's season ERA improves to 2.54.
