Potomac Nationals News Release
TODAY: The Potomac Nationals and Kinston Indians finish up their four-game series from historic Grainger Stadium on Thursday night with first pitch expected at 7:00 p.m. The K-Tribe snapped an eight-game losing streak with yesterday's walk-off 3-2 victory over Potomac. The P-Nats still didn't lose any ground in the Northern Division standings however, as Lynchburg fell to Frederick, 9-5 last night to keep Potomac within 1.5 games of first place. Kinston hadn't tasted victory since 5/9 when they triumphed over Myrtle Beach from Grainger Stadium 5-4.
Post Production Note: Chris Marrero owns seven of the P-Nats 18 hits in this series hitting .636 with a grand slam and 7 RBI in three games against Kinston. No other Potomac hitter has more than two hits against K-Tribe pitching in this three-game set.
With one stolen base today, Boomer Whiting will have 100 for his minor league career.
