
Potomac Nationals 2016 Game Notes at Myrtle Beach Pelicans

Potomac Nationals News Release
With a rainout Monday night, the Potomac Nationals (29-25) and Myrtle Beach Pelicans (30-26) will play a doubleheader tonight starting at 5:05pm. This is Potomac's sixth doubleheader of the first half, with two more on the slate the final two home Saturday's of the first half.
On the hill for Potomac in game one will be RHP Phillips Valdez (6-2, 3.54). Valdez leads the team in wins and is one behind the league leaders. In game two, RHP Dakota Bacus (0-2, 4.91) will make his first start of the season. He mostly started when he was with Potomac in 2014 and 2015.
For the Pelicans, RHP Erick Leal (7-2, 3.33) will toss in game one. Leal is tied with Lynchburg's Julian Merryweather for the Carolina League lead in wins. In game two, RHP Jeremy Null (1-2, 1.99) will get the start. Null has the best ERA among Myrtle Beach starters but does not yet qualify for the league leaderboard.
