Sioux Falls, S.D. (June 26, 2008) - The 2008 NBA Draft presented by Sprite was conducted last night at the WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York. The Charlotte Bobcats and Minnesota Timberwolves, Sioux Falls' parent teams for the 2008-09 season, selected three players apiece.
Charlotte had two picks in the first round and selected guard D.J. Augustin (ninth pick) from the University of Texas along with center Alexis Ajinca (20th pick) from France. Their lone second round pick was guard Kyle Weaver (38th pick) from Washington State University.
