Post game party at Miranda's Pub and Grill Saturday

Rockford, Ill.- Week 9 of the 2005-06 United Hockey League season features two home games for the Rockford IceHogs this weekend. The IceHogs will also host this season's second Miller Lite Post Game Party on Saturday night at Miranda's Pub and Grill in Rockford.

The Miller Lite Post Game Party will take place following the Hogs contest against the Richmond RiverDogs. Fans are invited out to Miranda's Pub and Grill to meet members from this year's Hogs team and enjoy some Miller specials. Miranda's Pub and Grill is located at 6116 Mulford Village Dr, behind Chase Bank, south of Kays Merchandise in the Mulford Village Mall.

As for the game on Saturday, the Hogs and Dogs match-up for only the second time ever. The first 1,000 fans to the MetroCentre will receive an IceHogs Knit Hat from Lonnie's Carpet Max and WTVO-TV Channel 17. Game time is 7:05 p.m. and the doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

Rockford will kick off the weekend on Friday night against the Missouri River Otters. The game marks the return of Jim Duhart to the MetroCentre. The first 1,000 fans to the game will pick up IceHogs Poster #3 in a series of 7 from Medicine Man, Johnson Press, Pepsi and the Rockford Register Star. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. and the doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
