Trashers Holding Second Annual Teddy Bear Toss on Friday

DANBURY, CT-The Danbury Trashers, proud members of the United Hockey League, will hold their second annual Teddy Bear Toss on Friday December 16th at the Danbury Ice Arena in a 7:30pm game against the Roanoke Valley Vipers.

All fans are invited to bring a new teddy bear or other stuffed animal to the Danbury Ice Arena for Friday night's game, and throw them onto the ice following the Trashers' first goal of the night. All of the toys will be collected off of the ice and distributed to the Danbury PAL Explorers, who will distribute them to needy children this holiday season.

Anyone who attends the game without a teddy bear or stuffed animal to throw onto the ice may purchase a stuffed Scrappy beanie toy, which will be available for sale at the Danbury Ice Arena at the Team Shop and on the concourse.

The Danbury Trashers Team Shop is also open daily for holiday shopping and is featuring a number of new items for the holiday season. The shop is open daily from 10am - 5pm and stays open until 8pm on Wednesday's and until the end of the game on game nights. Some of the hot items in the store include a pre-sale for a Trashers fleece blanket and Trashers Under Armor winter jackets. Tickets for all Trashers home games are available at DanburyTrashers.com, in person at the Danbury Ice Arena or by calling 866-565-PUCK. Fans unable to attend any Trashers game can listen to the play-by-play with "The Voice of the Trashers" Phil Giubileo starting at 7:15 on AM 940 ESPN Radio or online at DanburyTrashers.com for free.
