Ports to host first area job fair

STOCKTON, Calif. -The Stockton Ports are excited to announce that they will host their first area Job Fair on Wednesday, July 22, starting at 4 p.m. at Banner Island Ballpark.

"The Ports are committed to supporting the Stockton and San Joaquin County communities, and we are proud to be able to support area businesses and job seekers by hosting a job fair," said Ports Assistant General Manager Luke Reiff. "This job fair is a great opportunity for job seekers to meet employers and to see what jobs are available locally, as well as for businesses to showcase their services."

Several prospective employers from Stockton and San Joaquin County will have booths on the stadium concourse starting at 4 p.m. until the end of the game on Wednesday. Job seekers will have the opportunity to network with employers during the fair, and employers will have the opportunity to market their business to fans during the game as well.

Job seekers may enter the Job Fair for free from 4 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. If they wish to enter the Fair after 5:45 p.m., their entrance to the Job Fair will be included with the price of a ticket to the July 22 game at 7:05 p.m. Job seekers are encouraged to bring resumes and cover letters with them to the Fair and to wear business casual attire.
