
Ports host Fan Appreciation Day, final homestand of 2009

STOCKTON, Calif. - Following their final road trip of the season, the Stockton Ports head home for their final stand of the season, against Bakersfield and Visalia. The Ports will take on the Bakersfield Blaze from September 1-3, with each game beginning at 7:05 p.m. The Ports will also face the Visalia Rawhide from September 4-7, with the games on Friday and Saturday starting at 7:05 p.m., and the games on Sunday and Monday beginning at 6:05 p.m. The Ports look forward to ending the season at Banner Island Ballpark on a high note, culminating with Fan Appreciation Day.
This homestand will be the last chance for fans with ticket packages to exchange their unused tickets for tickets to any game during the final homestand. Fans with unused group tickets may also exchange them for tickets to the Friday, September 5 game.
Promotions and Special Events:
Two for Tuesdays: Tuesday, September 1, is a Kraft Singles Tuesday. Fans can redeem one Kraft Singles package wrapper to get one ticket free, courtesy of Kraft, when they purchase one ticket to any Tuesday home game. The buy-one, get-one free ticket deal is good for the Field Box and MVP Sections, and is based on availability.
Wednesday Fun: September 2 is a Medcore HP Silver Sluggers Wednesday at the ballpark, and members of the Medcore HP Silver Sluggers club can gain free entrance to the 7:05 p.m. game. All fans can play Baseball Bingo, presented by Food 4 Less and Rancho San Miguel Markets, for fun prizes, including a $100 gift certificate to Food 4 Less and Rancho San Miguel Markets. Food 4 Less will also give a free burrito to each person in a lucky row at the game.
Halfway to St. Patty's Day on Thirsty Thursday: Thursday, September 3, is the final Thirsty Thursday at Banner Island Ballpark for the season. At each Thursday home game, 16 oz. beverages are only $2.00 (Domestic drafts served until 8:00 p.m.), presented by KWIN 97.7 & 98.3 FM.
The Ports will also be hosting an Halfway to St. Patty's Day on September 3. Fans can enjoy Irish-themed music and in-game entertainment, in addition to St. Patrick's Day favorites like green beer and corned beef. Fans are encouraged to keep an eye out for any leprechauns, and to wear green!
Friday Night Fun: On Friday, September 4, the Ports will give the first 1,000 fans in attendance a commemorative 2009 Ports team poster.
Saturday Night's All Right: The Ports will host post-game fireworks on Saturday, September 5, courtesy of Food 4 Less. Fans are invited to enjoy a great match-up between the Ports and Visalia Rawhide at 7:05 p.m. that night, and to stick around to see the Downtown Stockton skyline lit by beautiful fireworks. It will be the last fireworks show of the season.
Sunday Bargains: Sunday, September 6, will feature several weekly promotions. Fans can pick up vouchers for $1 Home Run Hill Tickets from Metro PCS located in College Square, good for all Sunday home games. Every Sunday is also Autograph Sunday, where fans have the opportunity to get select Ports players' autographs before the game. Members of the Everyday Eddie's Kids Club, presented by Subway, also get in free to all Sunday home games. Also kids can run the bases after the game every Sunday.
Fan Appreciation Day: The Stockton Ports will host their annual Fan Appreciation Day on Monday, September 7. All fans are invited to come celebrate the culmination of the 2009 season, and to enjoy great Appreciation Day events. The Ports will giveaway Jemile Weeks replica jerseys to the first 1,000 fans. Weeks, the 2008 First Round Draft pick, had a 22-game hitting streak to start his season with Stockton. Fans who participate in in-game entertainment can also win great gift packages, including a trip to Las Vegas.
Monday, September 7 is also the 30th Anniversary of ESPN, and the Ports will be saluting the World Wide Leader in Sports with Top 10 highlights, fun video and audio clips from ESPN anchors, and much more!

The ticket office at the stadium will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday during the season on non-game days. During the season on Monday through Friday game days, the ticket office will be open from 9 a.m. until the end of the game. On weekend game days, the ticket office will be open from 10 a.m. until the end of the game.
Broadcasting:
On the Television: The Ports game on Friday, September 4 will be televised on the new regional Comcast Hometown Network (Channel 104 for Comcast customers). Fans can tune in at 7:00 p.m. to catch Stockton in action against San Jose. Zack Bayrouty will call the play-by-play for the game for Comcast, and Dan Dibley of KNBR will provide the color analysis. On the Radio: Every Ports game can be heard on KSTN 1420 AM, the home of the Stockton Ports, this season. Zack Bayrouty, the Voice of the Ports, will be calling the play-by-play for his third season this year.
