Hawks Happenings On The Ice:

Hawks forward Cody Glass notched an assist in both games against Tri-City this weekend, and leads the team with 25 points. Glass, a 17-year-old second year player from Winnipeg, MB, is currently tied for fourth in the WHL in scoring. He's now within 2 points of his career high of 27 points last season, and his assist on Sunday gave him 18 on the year, one more than the 17 he notched in his rookie season last year.

Defenseman Carter Czaikowski scored his first career goal on Friday night against the Tri-City Americans. The goal came in his 63rd career WHL game, and gives him five points in 17 appearances this season. The 18-year-old has set a new career-high in scoring, and is part of a defense corps for the Winterhawks who've recorded 11 goals in the first 19 games of the year. Keoni Texeira leads all Hawks defensemen with five goals.

The Hawks kicked off an eight game homestand Sunday night at the Moda Center against Tri-City. Portland hosts Everett on Friday night in the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, and then face Calgary Saturday in the lone meeting between the two sides this season in the Moda Center.

Hawks Happenings Off The Ice:

Winterhawks players will appear at two local Burgerville locations this Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. to sign autographs and meet fans. Cole Kehler and Lane Gilliss will be at the Hawthorne location at 1122 SE Hawthorne Blvd, while fans can meet Cody Glass and Jake Gricius at the Aloha Burgerville located in Sunset Square: 1245 NW 185th Ave.

Saturday night's contest in the Moda Center against Calgary will be The Boeing Company Military Salute night. The Hawks are proud to host The Boeing Company Military Salute in a night that honors veterans, active service members and their families. Thanks to The Boeing Company, hundreds of retired and active military members and their families will be able to attend the Military Salute for free.
