The Pirates record stands at 31-32-5-5 as they enter this week's games. With seven games remaining in the regular season, the Pirates are 14 points behind Providence for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Atlantic Division.

UPCOMING PROMOTIONS
It's time to vote for the 2004-05 Portland Pirates Player Awards! Fans can vote for the Pirates player that is most deserving of the following three awards, Unsung Hero, Most Popular Player and the Most Valuable Player. To cast your ballot, visit the customer service booth in the main lobby at the Pirates next home game. The winners will be announced at the final regular season home game on April 15th.
Friday, April 8th vs. Manchester 7:05 p.m. - Before the game, members of Pirates will participate in the New England Patriots Super Bowl parade. To honor the Maine soldiers in the parade the Pirates would like to invite military families to the Pirates game against the Monarchs for just $10! Friday is also $10,000 Dash for Cash Night sponsored by The Portland Regional Chamber and 102.9FM WBLM.
Friday, April 15, 2005 vs. Springfield 7:05 p.m. - Fan Appreciation Night presented by WJBQ 97.9 FM. Don't miss the last home game of the regular season as the Pirates thank the fans for their support. At this game, the winners will be chosen for "Shirts off Their Backs" as each player will give his game-worn jersey away to a lucky fan in attendance. The night will also feature the 2004-05 Player Awards. It will also be "Go Red" Night to support the American Heart Association. Fans are encouraged to wear red to support the Pirates and the American Heart Association.

IN THE COMMUNITY
This past Sunday was the inaugural Salty Pete's "Skate for the Kids" fundraiser at the Cumberland County Civic Center that raised funds and awareness for The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center. Fans had the chance to skate with the Pirates players before and after the Pirates game against Springfield. Players and fans also signed a giant Get Well card for the kids at the hospital.
Tomorrow, catch the Pirates Head Coach Tim Army on WJAB at 8:00 a.m. on the "The Morning Jab" on WJAB 95.5FM and 1440AM.
This Friday is the Heroes Parade! The parade will start at 3:30 p.m. on Congress Street and travel all the way up to Monument Square. Portland Pirates players will participate in the parade as well as local Maine soldiers returning from overseas, veterans of our armed services, members of Maine's Congressional delegation, plus Bob Kraft and members of the New England Patriots with the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Louis Robitaille will be on WBLM 102.9FM this Friday at 8:00 a.m. with the Captain and Celeste.

On Wednesday, April 13th, Pirates players will be at the Hannaford Supermarket in West Falmouth from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The players will sign autographs and give away tickets every ten minutes.
On Friday, April 22nd, The Pirates invite you to the "christening" of the Pirates new exhibit at the Children's Museum of Maine.
The Portland Pirates Foundation has announced that the date for the 2nd Annual Crackers Golf Classic presented by Time Warner Cable. The event will be held at The Woodlands Club on October 3rd. This year it will be attended by the entire Pirates team and other Portland celebrities. Last year, the inaugural Crackers Golf Classic benefited the Casco Bay Hockey Association (CBHA). The Crackers Golf Classic is named for the Pirates long-time mascot, Crackers the parrot.

The Pirates went 0-3-1-0 last week and are 14 points behind the Providence Bruins in the Atlantic Division playoff race.

Jason Ulmer scored shorthanded for his fourth goal of the season.

Maxime Daigneault made 20 saves.
Sunday, April 3rd vs. Springfield (5-3 L)
Brian Willsie scored his team-leading nineteenth goal and extended his goal-scoring streak to three games.
