@ HITMEN : The Tigers and Hitmen continue their second round series for a matinee game in Calgary after the Hitmen beat the Tigers 3-1 in Medicine Hat on Friday night. Calgary's Jake Virtanen extended his point streak to 6 games this post season after a 1 goal and 1 assist night Friday. The Tigers will look to bounce back on the road for the next two games and look to even the series at 1.
TONIGHT'S MATCHUP:
The Tigers had the league's second best road record behind Calgary, while the Hitmen had the second best home record behind Medicine Hat during the regular season in the Central Division Adam Tambellini currently leads all WHL players in playoff scoring with 15 points in 7 games

LAST GAME: In Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals the Tigers played host to the Calgary Hitmen on Friday night. The Tigers would come out strong pumping 14 shots on net in the opening frame while holding the Hitmen to just 5. The Tigers would trail after 20 minutes though as the Hitmen scored twice off goals from Connor Rankin and Jake Virtanen. The Tigers would capitalize when Dryden Hunt let go a bullet of a wrist shot top shelf on the short side to cut into the lead and pull the Tigers within one. The middle period saw no scoring and a lack of scoring chances heading into the final 20 minutes. The Hitmen extended the lead in the third period on a Chase Lang goal which squeaked past Tigers goalie Marek Langhamer for the 3-1 lead and the eventual final score.
HOME COMING: With the series shifting to Calgary for games 2 and 3, the Saddledome will sure be filled with parents and relatives for 8 young athletes as the two teams combined have 8 players who were born in Cow Town. The Tigers have three of those eight players in Alex Mowbray, Chad Labelle and Mark Rassell.
