Moose Jaw Warriors News Release

Game four is set for Tuesday night in the crushed can. The Warriors have a 2-1 series lead heading into a crucial game four. The Warriors will either take a two game lead heading back to Calgary Thursday or will be back to even.

Game 3: VISITING TEAM ADVANTAGE

The story of the 09/10 playoff series for the Moose Jaw Warriors and Calgary Hitmen seems to be the "visiting team" advantage. The Hitmen took a commanding 7-3 win last night in a packed crush can. The Warriors headed into game 3 up two games on the number one ranked Calgary squad.

Cody Sylvester started the night off with an early goal on Jeff Bosch. Ian Shultz added the second marker to send the Hitmen to the dressing room with a two goal lead. The second period featured a Thomas Frazee goal to bring the tribe within one. Zak Stebner quickly regained a two goal lead with a laser beam on Bosch. Mischa Fisenko added another to make the score 4-1. Captain Bast would manage to cut the lead down to two heading into the final twenty.

Jason Bast would add his second of the night and bring the home team within one. Former Warrior Joel Broda would pop one over Jeff Bosch to give the Hitmen a final push. Early first period scorers' Sylvester and Shultz would each add another to make the final score 7-3.

Warriors host the Hitmen for game 4 Tuesday night. The home team will travel back to Calgary for game 5 and return to the Civic Center on Saturday if a game 6 is required.

game 2: hitmen stunned at home

The Moose Jaw Warriors may have shocked Hitmen and Warrior fans alike by stealing game one of the first round of playoffs, but game 2 proved the Moose Jaw Warriors are for real. Taking a three goal lead in the first period, Warriors Honejsek, Bast and Hood silenced the critics. Jason Bast would start the third period with the 4th Warrior goal-and one of the fastest goals this season only seconds in. Foucault snuck one past Bosch to give Calgary one on the visitors. Bosch turned aside 30 shots.

GAME 1: UNDER DOGS ON TOP

The Moose Jaw Warriors surprised many Thursday night with a 4-2 win against the first place team in the Eastern Conference. Taking on the Calgary Hitmen in game one of a seven game series, the Warriors came out strong in the first with goals from Bast and Honejsek.

Thomas Frazee and Chad Suer both added one for the tribe. MacKenzie and Kozun both managed to beat first star Jeff Bosch. The Hitmen went 1/8 on the power play in comparison to the Warriors 3/6 power play showing. The Warriors did not get a single shot on net in the third. Jeff Bosch turned away an amazing 18 shots in the third alone and 48 on the night. Jones only had to make 12 saves in the match up.

SEASON TICKET PRICING UPDATE

The Moose Jaw Warriors have released details of season ticket pricing for the 10/11 regular season. The Warriors are pleased to offer adult season tickets at a special price of just $350.00 plus taxes next season. As an additional bonus, all season ticket holders purchasing for the 10/11 season will automatically be locked in at that same price heading into the multiplex in the 11/12 season.

"We wanted to get the message out as soon as possible," commented Director of Business Operations Corey Nyhagen. "There has been a lot of speculation and concerns of affordability moving ahead into the new facility. We want all of Moose Jaw to know our main priority is to fill the arena and offer affordable entertainment for our current fan base while also attracting new fans," added Nyhagen. Stay tuned for further information and details to be released shortly.
