TONIGHT:

The Ontario Reign continue Round One against the Utah Grizzlies with Game 3 tonight. This is Ontario's third playoff appearance in five years of existence; Utah's seventh in an eight year existence.

On Wednesday, the Reign took a 2-0 lead over the Grizzlies in this first round series with their 7-2 win at home.

During the 2012-13 season, the Reign came out ahead of the Grizzlies with a 3-1-0-1 record against the Western Conference club.

HOW THEY RANK:

By the end of the 2012-13 season Ontario had earned their third Division Title, ranked 2nd in the Western Conference, and second overall in the league - trailing the league-leading Alaska Aces by just seven points - with a club-high 99 points. The Grizzlies finished 4th in the Mountain Division, 7th in the Western Conference, and 18th overall in the league.

REIGN RECORDS FALL:

With a 7-2 victory over Utah on Wednesday night, the Reign set a number of new club playoff records. The win marked their largest victory margin (5-goal difference), the most goals in a playoff game (7), and most goals scored by a single player (4 - Stretch). The night also saw multiple team records tied; the most assists by a single player (3 - Kraemer), most points by a player (4 - Stretch), most penalty minutes (15 - Calla), and best +/- (Couture +4).

POWER PLAYERS:

The Reign's first line of top scorers has proven deadly to the Grizzlies. Kraemer, Stretch, and Couture have all led the Reign at some point during the season and for the first time are on a line together. In just two games, these three players have a combined 18 points (8g, 10a) and a +18.
