Player Spotlight: Joe Shuler
November 11, 2015 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
New Jersey Titans News Release
This week the spotlight is on center, No. 9 Joseph Shuler. He is from Webster, N.Y. and is one of five siblings. He started playing hockey when he was five years old and has had a love of the game since.
Joe is also part of the NJ Titans Sports & Bullying Team that travels to local elementary schools and speaks with students in third-grade through fifth-grade about sports and bullying.
Shuler has played in 17 games so far this season scoring three goals along with five assists for eight points total. He also boasts a plus/minus rating of plus two.
Joe has his goal set on college hockey. When asked what he missed most about home his quick was response "his mom's cooking and his dogs".
He thinks of the Titans as his extended family, when asked about his team mates he quickly said his hero is Pat Gazillo and his favorite cartoon character is Brad Becker and his favorite non-sports hero is Darren Brady. All kidding aside Joe speaks very highly of his teammates and has a great respect for all of them.
Joe is an asset to the NJ Titans both on and off the ice. He is not only a great hockey player, but also friend and teammate.
