Play against the Pros in Bubble Hockey Tournament

The Rockford IceHogs and Rockford Brewing Company will team up to host a Bubble Hockey Tournament this Thursday, Oct. 15 from 7-8:30 p.m. in anticipation of the team's home opening weekend. Vince Hinostroza and Mike Liambas will meet fans and face off against the tournament winner. The IceHogs Mountain Dew Ice Crew will also be on hand, giving out an exclusive offer for Opening Weekend.
Fans 21-and-older can sign up for the bubble hockey tournament by emailing info@rockfordbrewingco.com or visiting Dockside Taproom Bar. Entry to the tournament costs $5 per team of two, and each team will receive two 10 oz. beer tokens. Teams will play three minute games against each other for the right to advance and take on the IceHogs players in a championship games. Other games in the taproom will be half price throughout the event.
The IceHogs open their home slate with two games against the Texas Stars on Saturday, Oct. 17, and Sunday, Oct. 18. The home opener is scheduled for 7 p.m., and the first 5,000 fans will receive a calendar featuring former IceHogs who became Stanley Cup Champions. The IceHogs will celebrate Eddie Olczyk Night on Sunday at 4 p.m. The Blackhawks alumnus and broadcaster will be honored in a ceremony and sign autographs pregame and during the first intermission.
