Tampa Bay Lightning Sign Defenseman Dominik Masin to Entry-Level Contract

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed defenseman Dominik Masin (pronounced "Machine") to a three-year, entry-level contract today, Lightning vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced.

Masin, 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, has played in seven games with the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League this season, recording one assist. He leads all Peterborough skaters for plus/minus with a plus-9 rating and ranks third for penalty minutes with 12. In two seasons with the Petes, Masin has registered seven goals and 27 points in 55 games.

A native of Mestec Kralove, Czech Republic, Masin represented his native country in the 2015 World Junior Championships, notching an assist in five games.

Masin, 19, was drafted by Tampa Bay in the second round, 35th overall, of the 2014 NHL Draft.
