Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC News Release

Pittsburgh -- The Pittsburgh Riverhounds have signed midfielder Matthew Dallman to a new, two-year contract, it was announced today by CEO Jason Kutney.

In Dallman's first full season with the Riverhounds, the 28-year-old led all USL PRO players with 12 assists, which established a new league record.

"In my opinion, he serves the best ball in our league, so I'm glad he'll be lighting it up in Pittsburgh for years to come," said head coach Justin Evans.

In addition to first-team USL PRO honors, Dallman also made three appearances on the USL PRO Team of the Week.

After four appearances with the Riverhounds in 2012, Dallman wasted no time making his mark in 2013, as he connected with Jose Angulo to set up the first goal in Highmark Stadium history on April 13, 2013 against the Harrisburg City Islanders. Evans feels that was a sign of what was to come.

"Matt had a very good season for us this summer. He and Jose established a partnership that proved to be the deadliest in our League."

With the signings of Dallman and league MVP Jose Angulo to contract extensions today, the Riverhounds have solidified their one-two punch for the 2014 season and beyond.
