Pitt Students Eager to Join the Pack

Pittsburgh, PA - February 24, 2014 - The Pittsburgh Riverhounds USL Pro soccer franchise and the University of Pittsburgh classroom-based agency, ProsInMotion, are excited to announce their partnership in developing a campaign to help "kick-off" the Hounds' 2014 season. This partnership will allow students to participate in an experience-based learning opportunity that will help increase the awareness and recognition of the Riverhound brand in the Pitt community.
The agency's professor, Bob Gilbert, is looking forward to seeing the results of working with such an up and coming Pittsburgh franchise. "I'm excited!" says Gilbert. "This is such a great opportunity for both our students and the Riverhounds. It's a win-win relationship because students can demonstrate what they've learned in the classroom and the client gets to work with a group of outstanding students, who will develop and propose new ideas to reach the Gen Y audience."
Research to determine Pitt student awareness and perceptions of the Riverhound brand is underway.
Agency Coordinator, Erin Kistner, explained that ProsInMotion is organized to encompass all facets of a real agency. "The agency is hard at work developing a set of advertising, public relations and campaign event strategies. We will be holding an on-campus event and a game day event with the goal of engaging students in a close-knit fan base that is bound by a passion for soccer and the Riverhounds."
With the home opener for the Riverhounds set for April 12, 2014 at Highmark Stadium, the student agency has already started developing a series of tactics to achieve a whole new level of interest for the team. Both the franchise and students are enthusiastic about promoting a brand that encourages unity, excitement, and entertainment for everyone.
