
Pitching Duel Ends Unfavorably for Bombers

Bryan-College Station, TX - The Bombers wrapped up their road trip in Louisiana with a 3-1 loss to the Acadiana Cane Cutters. The game was a pitching duel in which all the scoring came after the 7th inning. The loss drops Brazos Valley's record to 39-7.
Brett Seeburger struck out five Cane Cutters in his six innings of work and only gave up one hit. Jake Cowan replaced Seeburger in the top of the 7th and gave up two of Acadiana's three runs in one and one-third inning of work. The Bombers' pitching staff only gave up three hits over the course of the game.
Offensively the Bombers recorded seven hits but were unable to string together anything until the 9th inning when Hunter Uzzle grounded into a double play which also sent Ben Hollas in to score the Bombers' only run of the game.
The Bombers return to Nutrabolt Stadium tomorrow night to take on the Woodlands Strykers. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
