Traverse City, MI - The Traverse City Pit Spitters outdueled the Green Bay Rockers in an offensive battle, winning 7-2 and snapping their seven-game losing streak.
The offense recorded 11 hits in the win. Eight of nine starters recorded a hit, with three players having multi-hit games.
The offense exploded in the second inning, with seven hits and six runs. The first six batters got hits before an out was recorded. Trey Truitt III started the inning with a 2-run home run, his first of the season. Sam Tackett, Jared Miller, and Ariel Garcia tallied RBI hits, and Hunter Tabb added a sacrifice fly.
Aaron Forrest bounced back after a rough outing in Kenosha. The right-hander allowed nine hits but worked out of trouble, allowing just one run, and striking out four.
Miller led off the fourth with a triple, followed by a Camden Traficante double to score the run. Four bullpen pitchers would combine for four innings of one-run ball to seal the game and end the losing streak.

The Pit Spitters stay home Tuesday to take on the Kalamazoo Growlers. First pitch at Turtle Creek Stadium is scheduled for 6:35 ET.
