Pirates and Marauders to Attend Band Slam

Bradenton, Fla. - The Pittsburgh Pirates and Bradenton Marauders will attend the Manatee Children's Services Band Slam Fundraiser this Saturday at the Sarasota Bradenton International Convention Center. MCS is dedicated to breaking the cycle of child abuse. The Band Slam is on Saturday, May 12 from noon until midnight.

Pittsburgh Pirates minor league players will be in attendance from 5:00pm-7:00pm showing their support for MCS. There will be a prize wheel. All proceeds from prize wheel spins will go directly to MCS.

The Band Slam has 20 bands scheduled to perform. The cost to attend is $20 advance sale and $30 day of show. There will be local food, full liquor service, vendors, and raffles.

The Pittsburgh Pirates and Bradenton Marauders are committed to making a positive impact in the community. Their other community-minded endeavors include the Fields for Kids program in Manatee County and support of the Miracle League of Manasota. The Pirates have held Spring Training in Bradenton for more than 40 years. The Marauders are currently in their third season playing at McKechnie Field.
