Pippins Release First Round Of 2014 Promotional Schedule

YAKIMA, Wash.-With the inaugural 2014 season a little more 60 days away, the Yakima Valley Pippins are starting to finalize details for a season full of fan-friendly promotional nights that are geared towards family affordability and community gathering. Features of the schedule include ticket specials, food and drink specials, giveaways, and fireworks.

"In addition to great baseball, our efforts are geared towards creating an environment where families and friends can come for a community-centered entertainment option," said Pacific Baseball Ventures COO Zachary Fraser. "Yakima Valley has the potential to be the best market in the WCL in terms of fan support - we look forward to these promotions, and others, being an integral part to a quality stadium experience."

Each night of the week has elements that can be counted on by Pippins fans throughout the season.

- Monday: Every Monday fans can purchase "6-Pack" tickets at the Yakima County Stadium Box Office for just $40.00. 6-Packs will include (6) Stadium View seats, (6) hot dogs, and (6) 20 oz. fountain drinks. It averages out to be just $6.67 per person.

- Tuesday: Terrific Tuesdays are presented by Yakima Craft Brewing Co. Specials throughout the evening will include: $2 parking, $2 Stadium Select seats (while supplies last), $2 fountain drinks, $2 domestic drafts, $2 small hot dogs and $3 Yakima Craft drafts.

- Wednesday: Each Wednesday home game, the Pippins will give away a $100 Visa gift card. In order to qualify, fans that have been scanned into the park each Wednesday night will have their names entered into a drawing that will happen at the top of the 8th inning. If you are in the ballpark and your name is drawn, you go home that night $100 richer.

- Thursday: Buy One, Get One Stadium Select tickets and hot dogs, all night long for every regular season Thursday home game.

- Friday: Singles Nights will come to the ballpark this summer, with food and drink specials all night long. A post-game celebration will occur each night as well, meaning that warm summer nights will be spent meeting new people and celebrating perfect Yakima summer nights together - with your favorite date or with the goal of finding one! (*excludes Opening Night)

- Saturday: Each Saturday night will feature a different giveaway item for fans at the gate. Giveaways will include caps, magnet schedules, rally towels and other great items that will be finalized in the next thirty days. Partners such as Pizza Hut, Banner Bank and Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, among others, have made these evenings possible.

- Sunday: Family Day - Kids 12 and under will be able to get tickets for $1 when accompanied by adults. The Pippins will wear specialty jerseys on Sundays, and other elements will be added as the team approaches the start of the season to make Kids Day a special day to celebrate spending time together as a family.

In addition to continuing promotions throughout the season, the Pippins will feature three games with post-game fireworks.

- Opening Night - Friday, June 6 vs. Wenatchee Applesox

- Wednesday, July 2 vs. Walla Walla Sweets

- Wednesday, August 6 vs. Cowlitz Black Bears

"We aren't finished building a promotions and events schedule that our fans can be excited about," said Pippins Director of Operations Noel Zanchelli. "By getting some of this information into fans hands now, we hope that it will help them best prepare for the season."

With ticket sales brisk and inventory shrinking, the best way to ensure that fans have tickets to the best nights is through season ticket and partial season ticket plans. Single-game tickets are scheduled to go on sale May 1, with season tickets and other ticket packages available now. Group options that include all-you-can-eat food and drink are also available now by calling 509-575-HITS (4487).

The Yakima Valley Pippins will begin their quest for a WCL Championship at Yakima County Stadium on June 6 th, 2014 at 7:05 P.M. against East Division rival Wenatchee. Tickets are now on sale for the 2014 season, including full-season and partial-season packages, as well as select team merchandise.
