Pippins Annouce Opening Day Sponsor

YAKIMA, Wash.-The Yakima Valley Pippins are proud to announce today that Country Financial will be the presenting sponsor for Opening Day on June 6th when the Pippins take on the Wenatchee AppleSox at 7:05 p.m. On a historical note, Wenatchee was also the first opponent of Yakima's first professional team, the Yakima Pippins Professional Baseball Club, in 1937. The historic night ends with a bang with post-game fireworks.
"Building a relationship with the Pippins and the Yakima Valley through baseball was an opportunity that Country Financial felt they could not pass up," said Pippins general manager Danny Tetzlaff. "Opening Day is a historic night for the Pippins and Country Financial wanted to be a part of making the night even more special. The Pippins and Country Financial are excited to form this partnership that highlights the return of baseball to Yakima County Stadium and the Yakima Valley."

The Yakima Valley Pippins Inaugural Season will commence with Opening Day presented by Country Financial at Yakima County Stadium on June 6th at 7:05 pm.
