Elmira, NY- Due to steady rains throughout the day and increasingly heavy downpours in the evening the Elmira Pioneers and North Shore Spirit have postponed this evening's game.
Tonight's game was originally supposed to be the third and final game of a three game set, but will be made up later in the season at North Shore.
Tonight's game was also scheduled to be the Pioneers final game of a seven-game home stand to open the season. Starting tomorrow night the Pioneers will begin a seven-game road swing with four games in Quebec and three in Bangor. Elmira will return home on Friday, June 11 to take on Quebec on Coca-Cola Squeeze Bottle Night with Big Fox. At next Friday's game the first 500 fans to arrive at Dunn Field will receive a free squeeze bottle courtesy of Coca-Cola and Big Fox. Game time for next Friday is set for 7:05 p.m.
