Pigs Look to Take Series Finale from PawSox

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs seek a split of their two-game set with the Pawtucket Red Sox on Thursday night at McCoy Stadium. First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m.

RHP Phil Klein (3-1, 1.81) gets the ball for the IronPigs in the series finale. Klein earned the win on Friday at Syracuse when he allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits while walking one and fanning nine in 6.1 IP. The right-hander has fanned 30 batters over 19.1 IP in his last three starts.

RHP Justin Haley (7-4, 3.92) will toe the rubber for Pawtucket opposite Klein. Haley was tagged with the loss on August 17 vs. the Pigs when he surrendered nine runs on eight hits to go along with one walk in 2.0 IP. Prior to the start against the IronPigs, the Fresno State product had not allowed a run in his last three starts.

Pigs 1B/OF Darin Ruf extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a two-run shot in the ninth inning on Wednesday. Ruf is hitting .389-4-11 (14-36, 2 2B, 2 BB, 7 R) during the stretch.
