Cedar Rapids, IA - Cedar Rapids RoughRiders goaltender Blake Pietila was named goaltender of the week today by the United States Hockey League, the 2nd time in the month of February.
Pietila backstopped the team to wins Saturday night at home over rival Waterloo 2-1 and followed that up with a 3-2 win on the road in Green Bay on Sunday. On the weekend, Pietila stopped 52 of 55 shots.
The 2nd year goaltender and Michigan Tech commit is now 18-10-2-1 on the season with a 2.57 goals against average and .909 saves percentage.
