PIAA Baseball Championships Schedule Altered Due to Weather

(STATE COLLEGE, PA) - The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) has announced that due to expected inclement weather on Thursday, the PIAA Baseball Championships at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park will see two games postponed to Friday.

The Class A matchup between Meyersdale and Vincentian Academy will now take place at 11 a.m. on Friday at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. The Class AAA game between Susquehanna Township and Bellefonte will now be the second game on Friday, and is scheduled for approximately 1:30 p.m.

Medlar Field at Lubrano Park gates will open at 10 a.m. on Friday for the rescheduled games.

The Class AA game between Neumann-Goretti and Bishop McCort, as well as the Class AAAA matchup between Boyertown and Plum, will take place as scheduled on Thursday. Games will begin at 11 a.m., with ballpark gates opening at 9:30 a.m.

The schedule of championship games at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park is now as follows:

Thursday, June 16

11:00 a.m. - Class AA - Neumann-Goretti vs. Bishop McCort

1:30 p.m. - Class AAAA - Boyertown vs. Plum

Friday, June 17

11:00 a.m. - Class A - Meyersdale vs. Vincentian Academy

1:30 p.m. - Class AAA - Susquehanna Township vs. Bellefonte

Fans already holding tickets for the PIAA Baseball Championships can use them for both Thursday's games and Friday's games. General admission tickets are also available at the Medlar Field at Lubrano Park Box Office. Admission prices are $8 for adults and $4 for students in grades K-12. Pre-kindergarten children are admitted free of charge.

Students in grades 6-12 from the schools in the Class AAA championship game will have their PIAA Baseball Championships tickets covered. Bellefonte student tickets, courtesy of Jake Corman, and Susquehanna Township student tickets, courtesy of John DiSanto, can be claimed with a student ID or report card from either of the respective schools.
