Phoenix Rising FC News Release
PHOENIX, Arizona (Saturday, June 18) - Phoenix Rising FC lost, 4-2, tonight to Loudoun United FC at Segra Field.
Rising started off with a great opportunity that was set up by Njie who sent to Hurst resulting in a score by Aodhan Quinn.
Quinn had another chance for a brace in the 17th minute which was kicked out and followed up with another shot on target from Greg Hurst which was deflected.
Loudoun United FC secured a goal in the 32th minute to even up the score. Goalkeeper Ben Lundt worked hard to keep the score at an even 1-1 with a save to end the first half.
The second half started slow until Loudon scored in the 58th minute, followed abruptly by another goal within the next minute to solidify their lead at 3-1. Before Rising was able to find another possession, Loudoun scored again in the 83rd minute to lock in a 4-1 lead.
