
Phoenix Mercury to Hold Hip Hop Squad Auditions

The three-time WNBA Champion, Phoenix Mercury is looking for highly-energetic dancers to audition for the 2016 Mercury Hip Hop Squad on Tuesday, March 8 on the Annexus Practice Court at Talking Stick Resort Arena. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. with auditions starting at 6 p.m.
Those interested in auditioning must be at least 18 years of age by March 8. Members of the Hip Hop Squad are expected to dance at all Mercury home games, interact with fans and appear at community events throughout the 2016 season.
Finalists from round one of auditions will be asked to return for the final audition on Saturday, March 12 at Tempe Marketplace. The final audition will begin at 10:30 a.m. on the main stage near Dave and Busters, and is open to the public for viewing. There is no fee to audition.
The starting lineup that won it all in 2014 is back! Diana Taurasi and Penny Taylor return to join 2015 All-Star trio Brittney Griner, Candice Dupree and DeWanna Bonner as the Phoenix Mercury pursue a league-record tying fourth WNBA title in 2016.
