Phoenix Mercury Home Opener on Friday, June 17

Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury will make their 2011 home debut on Friday, June 17 against Becky Hammon and the San Antonio Silver Stars at 7 p.m. The game will mark the first of five meetings for the teams this season and the first time since Phoenix swept San Antonio in the 2010 Western Conference semifinals.

The first 6,000 fans through the doors on Friday will receive a commemorative Season 15 T-shirt courtesy of the Arizona Lottery. The game will also be telecast live on FOX Sports Arizona Plus.

The team's opening weekend also marks the return of former Mercury forward Tangela Smith and former Arizona State University guard Briann January when the Mercury takes on the Indiana Fever on Sunday, June 19 at 3 p.m. The first 3,000 fans will take home a Phoenix Mercury schedule magnet from BBVA Compass.

The team travels to Los Angeles this Friday, June 10 to take on the Sparks at 7:30 p.m. The game can be viewed via LiveAccess on phoenixmercury.com.
